Continental Studios has been the official school photographers for New York City schools since 1962. We're a family-owned studio in Forest Hills, and we hire photographers and picture-day crew every season.

Portrait Photographer

Photograph seniors and undergrads on location at NYC schools and in our Forest Hills studio.

What you'll do

Photograph high school and college seniors, undergrads and middle-school students on location at schools across New York City and in our Forest Hills studio.
Pose students in the formal yearbook attire (drape and tuxedo) and cap and gown to yearbook standard, keeping each session to about 7–10 minutes while making every student comfortable.
Work alongside our computer operators and school staff so the schedule runs on time.

What we're looking for

A friendly, professional manner with students, parents and school administrators.
Punctual and reliable, with a car to reach school locations with equipment.
Experience photographing high school seniors is preferred but not required — we train.

Sports Photographer

Team and individual sports portraits plus game-day coverage for schools and leagues.

What you'll do

Photograph team and individual sports portraits for high school and league programs, fall through spring.
Cover games and events for yearbooks, athletics pages and end-of-season awards.
Shoot for composites and banners with consistent lighting and posing.

What we're looking for

Fast and organized on a field or in a gym, and good with coaches and kids.
Early mornings, evenings and weekends during the season.
Own transportation to reach schools and fields with equipment.

Computer Operator

Run the photo-day data station that keeps every portrait matched to the right student.

What you'll do

Run the studio system on a laptop at the school on picture day.
Check each student against the roster, confirm parent contact details, and issue password cards.
Keep every image matched to the right student using our QR-code workflow.

What we're looking for

Accurate typing and attention to detail.
Calm and friendly with a line of students waiting.
Reliable and punctual; travels to school locations with the crew.
