The questions families and advisors ask us most.

Proofs, ordering, retouching, scheduling, retakes — the practical answers, grouped by who's asking. Don't see yours? Call 718-268-2870.

Ordering & Proofs

Why are there lines and words across the proofs?
This is to protect the studio copyright. You can come into the studio to view the proofs with no watermark. We also suggest taking a step or two back from the computer monitor to view the proofs — the lines are very thin and stepping back sometimes helps. Some web browsers also allow you to zoom in if you press CTRL and + at the same time.
Do I have to order online?
No. You can order by phone at 718-268-2870, or in person at our studio at 103-03 Metropolitan Avenue in Forest Hills.
When will I be able to access my portraits online?
Your portraits will be available online for you within a few days of your photo session. We will send you an email that contains a link to the appropriate page. You can also click the “view and order” button at the top of any page on this site and use the password provided to you at the time of your photo session.
How do I see the packages, products, and prices?
You will be able to view your portraits and the full price list a few days after your photo session, on the same page where your proofs appear.

Products & Retouching

Can I order digital portraits and prints?
Yes. Our price list is designed to be customizable so you can get what you want. We offer images on USB flash drives along with traditional portrait packages and custom composites.
Do you offer frames?
Yes. Portraits do not come with frames but they can be purchased separately. The EZ portrait combo 6 package includes a 16x20 frame.
Can I order individually? I don't need everything that comes with the packages.
Yes. When viewing your portraits and price list online, simply continue to the individual portraits page.
Will my portraits be retouched?
Yes. Facial retouching (acne and blemishes) is included on all orders. We also offer retouching upgrades such as braces removal, fixing stray hairs, and teeth whitening.

For Advisors & Principals

How far in advance should we book our portrait day?
Fall portrait days fill up over the prior spring. If your yearbook publisher deadline lands in January or February, the safest move is to be on our calendar by June of the prior school year.
Do you handle retakes and absentees?
Yes. Every photo day has a built-in retake date scheduled before your portrait deadline. Absentees and re-shoots are tracked against your enrollment file so no student is missed in the book.
Which yearbook publishers do you deliver to?
All major yearbook publishers — in their native format. You do not translate files on your end.
Are you an approved NYC DOE vendor?
Yes. Continental Studios of Queens, Inc. is an approved NYC Department of Education vendor. See the DOE Vendor page for procurement details.
